For over 40 years we have been delighting diners with a wonderful assortment of grilled specialties. Our famous loins of beef are brought to your table where you may select the size and cut of your steak. In addition, we offer chicken, fish and our prized whole pork tenderloin; all grilled to your specification. Our slow roasted prime rib is a favorite of many Peddler regulars and the filet is the best in town. For the wine enthusiast, all entrees can be paired with a selection from our wine list, and we offer at least 20 wines by the glass as well. All entrees include our famous "Peddler Salad Bar" which offers a plethora of fresh garden choices.
Inside and out, it’s pure kitsch at Damon’s, where bartenders prepare potent mai tais with a proprietary recipe. Owner Gale Barefoot worked his way up from his days as a dishwasher at age 19 to overseeing the entire restaurant operation within a few short years. His wife Joyce answered phones, worked the floor on busy nights, and greeted customers for 44 years — until her death in 2013. Both of their daughters, and countless other family members, have worked at the Peddler over the years, and several of our long term staff members have become like family. There are some nights, especially during Spring and Fall, that are just perfect for outdoor dining.
Spacca is an intimate space for those going all-out on the meats. Don’t forget to share the famous focaccia di recco to start, a cheesy flatbread perfected by chef Nancy Silverton. In Redondo Beach, this elegant steakhouse does beef exceedingly well with a wood-fried sear on the outside while maintaining a juicy, tender core.
Families have passed down the tradition from generation to generation, making our steakhouse a can’t-miss restaurant when they visit Gatlinburg. A little over 10 years ago, Chi Spacca became LA’s first meat-curing facility to be certified by the Department of Public Health. This Italian restaurant specializes in bistecca Fiorentina, a 50-ounce dry-aged prime porterhouse. For those intimidated by that massive size, there’s the crostata alla Fiorentina, a prime dry-aged, bone-in New York steak that registers only 36 ounces.
The flavorful culotte bistecca and thin bone-in tagliatan are beautifully served on a cutting board. Or opt for the 45-day dry-aged wagyu tomahawk that should feel the entire table. It’s all part of the Peddler’s unique dining experience to have the day’s selection of aged ribeye presented by our meat cutter at your table, who then cuts your steak to the size you want.
